As I said, My name is Dean and I live in Cornwall, UK.

Myself and my mum are very close and it was whilst I was growing up seeing her struggle every single day with the way that she looked, the consistent restrictive diets then binge eating. 


 And it was those strict diets that led to her downfall which resulted in a vicious cycle of under-eating, overeating and despite her being one of the strongest women I know mentally, it was always the same story, she simply could not maintain a weight that she was happy with.

She experienced it all, severe brain fog, hot flushes that felt like she was in a tropical rainforest...

She couldn’t wear the same clothes for 10 minutes without needing to change due to sweating, and she’d constantly forget things all the time.


She would wake up everyday, look at herself in the mirror and throw a few choice words at the mirror of which I could hear from my bedroom. I never told her at the time but this was so difficult to hear, I wasn’t understanding why my mum, the best woman in my life was not happy with the way she looked or the way she felt because in my eyes she was everything you’d ever want in a mum, she was brave, she was hard working, she was caring and ultimately so selfless - she was always there for me. To me she was a Superwoman. To herself, she’d lost her identity. 


So I made a decision to become a Personal Trainer & Nutritionist so I could understand and help her and other people like her. If I could learn about the struggles she’s facing then maybe I can avoid the pain that she’s in.

Here’s the thing, 

If I hadn’t experienced that with my Mum, I wouldn’t be here to discuss the simple process that I created that changed everything for her and every other lady we’ve worked with since.

The scary statistic that has always shocked me about the diet industry is that only 4% of people that start a diet.. Actually keep their weight off forever.

After reading that I knew something has to change and I got obsessed with the biochemistry of Menopause because you see I will never experience this change that you’re facing but my ability to understand everything you’re going through is down to my study and my 15 years of experience in a 1-2-1 personal training setting and nutrition consults.

I learnt everything I could about diets, biochemistry, hormone imbalances, women’s health and what Menopause does to the body. I started looking at lifestyle interventions instead of believing HRT was the answer to everybody's problems…. I started to read blood tests to help understand what all the different markers meant on the lab results.

That’s when my mums life and the 

ladies lives I’ve coached in the past 15 years changed in a way that they could never imagine.
